White Mass to be held Oct. 16
Bishop Bernard Hebda will be the celebrant for a Mass in appreciation for those who serve in the health care profession. Often referred to as a "White Mass," it is traditionally celebrated on or near the Feast of St. Luke. It is called a White Mass because health care workers traditionally wear white coats and white is a symbol in the church of hope and comfort to the ill and hospitalized. The special Mass will take place during the 10:00 AM liturgy on October 16 at Immaculate Conception Parish, Traverse City. Everyone is invited. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. RSVP to Jan Ready at Immaculate Conception at 231.935.4340
