Pray With Us - First Friday and 40 Hour Devotions in October

10/02/2011

As we continue to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Diocese of Gaylord, many special opportunities for prayer and reflection are being offered. We know as Catholics that the Mass is “the source and summit of the Christian Life (Lumen Gentium, #11).” However, the Second Vatican Council also encouraged the faithful to extend their adoration outside of Mass. Since April, First Friday Devotions have been offered monthly in parishes in each vicariate and each vicariate during the year is hosting a 40 Hour Devotion.

On October 7, First Friday Devotions will be held:

NORTH REGION VICARIATE:
Sacred Heart, Riggsville
Mass at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Holy Hour with Exposition and Benediction

EAST REGION VICARIATE:
St. Ignatius, Rogers City
Mass a 8:30 a.m. followed by a Holy Hour with Exposition and Benediction

SOUTHEAST REGION VICARIATE:
Our Lady of the Lake, Prudenville
Mass at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Holy Hour with Exposition and Benediction

SOUTHWEST REGION VICARIATE:

followed by a Holy Hour with Exposition and Benediction

CENTRAL REGION VICARIATE:
St. Mary, Kalkaska
Mass at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Holy Hour with Exposition and Benediction

WEST REGION VICARIATE:

Forty Hour Devotion:

The Southwest Region Vicariate will host this month’s 40 Hour Devotion October 7-9 at St. Ann Parish in Cadillac.
