Wedding Anniversary Masses

For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife and the two shall be become one flesh. These words from Genesis are repeated in the Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians.

Over the past nine months, the Diocese of Gaylord has hosted numerous events and activities in celebration of the 40^th Anniversary of the Diocese. In October, we will honor the faithful witness of love and the vocation of marriage. Bishop Bernard Hebda invites all couples celebrating 40 years or more of married life to join him at one of three special Masses being held in the diocese.

“The vocation of marriage is so important to the life and faith of the Church,” stated Bishop Hebda. “By their commitment and love for one another, these couples reveal an image of God for others. As we were discussing the event, we really wanted as many people as possible to be able to participate so we decided to have it in three locations this year. “
