St. Andrew Task Force
The St. Andrew Task Force Organization (SATF) is a joint parish/diocesan program started by Bishop Patrick Cooney in the Gaylord Diocese in 2006. The SATF brings together young men (grades 7-12) from around the diocese to encounter Jesus, find support in their faith commitment and to have fun!
St. Andrew Task Force Retreat 2010
This retreat for St. Andrew Task Force will be held at St. Mary Cathedral School in Gaylord the weekend of June 11-13, 2010. In addition to speakers and various activities, a special highlight will be attendance at the Ordination to the Preisthood of Deacon Sylvestre Obwaka and Deacon Gerald Okoli at St Mary Cathedral on Saturday morning. Please note that this retreat is for young men in junior high, grades 7 and 8. Our current seminarians will be in attendance at this reatreat, leading many of the activities. We will also welcome any of the high school students who attended previous retreats to help with the activities. We will begin to accept registrations soon. Mark your calendars. Space is limited. A cost of $25 is requested to help cover meals and activities because the event is funded in part by the Catholic Services Appeal. The intent is that no one be excluded due to financial concerns. If you would like to attend but need financial assistance, please contact Fr. Don Geyman.
The St. Andrew Task Force is a service organization for young men ages 10 – 18 who are interested in joining others throughout the diocese for prayer, fellowship, and service and to explore who God is calling them to be and how they will respond to God’s call as they grow and mature. All young men are encouraged to consider joining the St. Andrew Task Force.
