Cheboygan Catholic Community, St. Mary/St. Charles Church is situated about 15 miles southeast of the Mackinaw Bridge. Prayer to Bishop Frederic Baraga, patron of our Bishop Baraga School. O God, we praise and adore you. Thank you for our beloved missionary, Bishop Frederic Baraga. Please bless his intercessions for us, as we lift him to you for the honor of sainthood. Raising up the example of his life gives us a model of fidelity to the Gospel. Bishop Baraga, you entrusted the urgent work of evangelization to us. We are forever grateful for all you have done on our behalf. Help us to continue your good works to build the Kingdom of God. Amen.

The Task Force will have an Egg, Pancake and Sausage Breakfast on Sunday, July 13 following the 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. Masses. Cost will be a donation to the Task Force. The Cheboygan Knights of Columbus will have a Benefit Fish Bake for the Building Campaign of our new Bishop Baraga School on Wednesday, July 23,2008 at the Cheboygan K of C Hall, South US 27 Hwy., Cheboygan. The dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. The menu will be baked whitefish along with potato, vegetable, macaroni & cheese, salad, roll, beverage, and ice cream for dessert. The cost will be a donation to the Campaign. Checks are to be made out to the Cheboygan Catholic Building Campaign. Everyone is welcome and the public is invited. Bishop Baraga School Open Registration continues for current and new children in grades Pre-school through 6th grades Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; scholarship funds available. Call the school for more information, (231) 627-5608. Tickets are now on sale (MI License #C24120) for the Baraga Boosters annual fall gala Grand Raffle. This years grand prize is a new 2008 Toyota Yaris AND $25,000. There will also be 5 additional $1,000 drawings the night of the gala – September 27, 2008. Again this year they will have 4 Early Bird drawings – June 1st, July 1st, August 1st and September 1st. All winning Early Bird tickets go back in for all prizes.
