Liturgical Minister Appreciation Event Planned

A special event in appreciation of parish liturgical ministers will be held at the Diocesan Pastoral Center in June. Dr. Edward Hogan, Theologian for the Diocese of Saginaw, will be speaking on the subject of “The Challenge of Authenticity in Liturgical Ministry.” The talk will center on the role of ever-changing liturgical leadership in parish life. In order to accommodate as many ministers as possible, two presentations of the talk will take place, one on Friday, June 13 and the other Saturday, June 14. The presentation Friday evening will begin at 7:00 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres served at 6:00 p.m. The presentation on Saturday will take place at 9:00 a.m., with a continental breakfast beginning at 8:00 a.m. The invitation is for the following ministers in the diocese: Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion to the homebound, sick and at Mass; Readers; Music Ministers; Ushers/Greeters; Adult Servers; Sacristans; Environment Ministers; Presiders/Prayer leaders; Deacons; Worship Commissions and others.
