Assistant Principal

St. Mary Cathedral School in Gaylord, Michigan is seeking an Assistant Principal that will effectively communicate and demonstrates enthusiasm for the mission of the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Gaylord.  This is a full-time, exempt position.   Candidate must possess strong organizational, communication, public relations and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills in dealing with staff, students and parents.  The person selected will be responsible for working cooperatively with the school principal and faculty to promote Catholic identity through quality instructional leadership.  Candidate must be an active, practicing member of the Catholic Church and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration or equivalent degree is preferred.  Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with a preferred minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience.  Applications accepted until May 19, 2017 or until the position is filled.  Interested candidates should forward a resume, letter of intent and two letters of recommendation, along with the Diocesan Job Application and Background check forms found below.
