Bishop Announces Appointments

The Most Reverend Patrick R. Cooney, Bishop of the Diocese of Gaylord announces the following appointments:

Effective August 13, 2008

Rev. Michael Fowler, OFM, to Pastor at Cross in the Woods, Indian River.

Effective September 8, 2008

Rev. Robbie Deka from Associate Pastor at St. Ignatius, Rogers City, St. Casimir, Posen and St. Dominic, Metz to Associate Pastor at Immaculate Conception, Traverse City.

Rev. Donald R. Geyman to Pastor at Immaculate Conception, Traverse City. He continues as Delegate for Vocations and Pastoral Care of Seminarians.

Rev. James P. Hayden retires to Senior Priest status from Pastor at Immaculate Conception, Traverse City.

Rev. Ruben D. Munoz from Associate Pastor at St. Joseph, Guardian Angels and St. Mary of Mt. Carmel in Manistee and Hispanic Ministry to Associate Pastor at St. Francis Xavier, Petoskey & St. Francis Solanus, Bay Shore and continues in Hispanic Ministry.

Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz from Temporary Associate Pastor at St. Matthew, Boyne City and St. Augustine, Boyne Falls to Associate Pastor of St. Joseph, Guardian Angels, and St. Mary of Mt. Carmel in Manistee.

Rev. Clarence Smolinski to Sacramental Minister at St. Ignatius, Rogers City, St. Casimir, Posen and St. Dominic, Metz. He continues as Bishop’s Liaison to Senior Priests.

The appointments effective September 8 have been made for one year in order to allow the Parish and Personnel Task Force to complete their work.
